How do I reset a CCTV camera that is showing a pixelated or unnatural color image?


To reset your camera so it will display correctly, try these initial steps:


- Log in to the AWS

- Log in to VXTOOLBOX

- Click DEVICES tab on top of the screen

- Highlight/click on the appropriate camera

- Click on the GLOBE icon on the upper-right corner of the window
-- If Internet Explorer pops up with a message, click ASK ME LATER

- Login using the CAMERAS login information on your password sheet

- Click SETTINGS on the top right corner of the screen

- Below the camera image, click REBOOT CAMERA


Once completed, close out Internet Explorer and the VXTOOLBOX window.




IF that doesn't resolve the issue:

- Go to the CCTV rack in your CCTV room


- Open the back panel


- Looking at the switches on top of the rack, look for the cable labeled C-XXX corresponding to the camera that you're having issues with.  


- Press the tab on the cable connector to the switch and unplug the appropriate cable (please double-check the label)

  --   Please take note of the switch port you're unplugging from


- Wait  60 seconds


- Plug it back in to the same port you took it out of and wait 3-5 minutes for the camera to reboot
