One of the CCTV camera is showing that it's offline.  How do I bring it back online?


To bring the camera back online, please:

- Take note of the camera name (C-XXX)

- Open the back panel on the rack in the CCTV room

- Look for the cable marked C-XXX and track it to the switch (with the blinking lights)

- Press the tab on the C-XXX cable to unplug it from the switch

- Wait 60 seconds

- Plug it back in

- Wait  5 - 15 minutes for the camera to reboot and reconfigure

- Check the PWS or AWS to see if it's back online



- IF it's still OFFLINE:


  • Log in to the AWS or PWS as ADMIN

  • Log in to VXTOOLBOX

  • Click DEVICES tab on top of the screen

  • Highlight/click on the appropriate camera

    - Click on the GLOBE icon on the upper-right corner of the window

      -- If Internet Explorer pops up with a message, click ASK ME LATER

  • Login using the CAMERAS login information on your password sheet

  • Click SETTINGS on the top right corner of the screen

  • Below the camera image, click REBOOT CAMERA

  • Once completed, close out Internet Explorer and the VXTOOLBOX window.
